Flavor profile
Use the flavor profile as a quick impression of the matcha. Aroma, umami, bitterness and color help you compare whether a matcha is better suited to hot water, latte or recipes. The final taste depends on dosage, water temperature, preparation and ingredients such as milk, sugar, cream or batter.
Very strong aroma
Strong umami
Low bitterness
Strong green color
Miyabi is premium matcha for anyone who wants quality and also wants to use matcha regularly. This selection has a lot of aroma, clear umami, a strong green color and low bitterness. That makes Miyabi refined enough for hot water preparation and practical enough for a Matcha Latte or Iced Matcha.
Miyabi has a round, aromatic taste with slightly more body than the softest ceremonial matchas. With hot water, you can clearly taste the umami and light bitterness while the flavor stays approachable. In a latte or Iced Matcha, Miyabi gives enough color and aroma to remain recognizable.
Miyabi mentions first flush and the cultivar Saeyutaka. First flush refers to the first harvest period, which is often chosen for premium matcha. Less general consumer information is available about Saeyutaka than about better-known cultivars such as Saemidori or Okumidori. That is why we mainly explain Miyabi through what you taste: aroma, umami, color and low bitterness.
Miyabi fits you if you want to drink better Japanese matcha at home but do not yet have one fixed preparation. Drink it with hot water only when you want to taste the round flavor, or make a soft Matcha Latte when you want something creamier.
Use hot water that is not boiling, preferably around 70 to 80 degrees Celsius. This lets you first taste how round and aromatic this matcha is. For a latte, whisk the powder smooth with a small amount of hot water first. Then add warm or cold milk, depending on how you prefer your Matcha Latte.
Miyabi is a good choice if you want premium Japanese matcha that you can use often. With hot water, it has enough refinement for a calm matcha moment, while the taste remains recognizable in milk for a soft latte. That makes Miyabi feel premium without being only for special moments.
Miyabi fits you if you want to discover better Japanese matcha without immediately choosing the most refined ceremonial option. The taste is approachable enough for daily use but special enough to notice a clear difference from a simple matcha. That makes Miyabi a good step up for home use.
